When I suffered an arm injury, I was required to keep it dry for a few weeks. I couldn't believe it, but my doctor told me the best I could do was buy a plastic bag and waterproof tape or rubber band, and very carefully take a shower. Mankind was able to land on the moon decades ago, and I need to use a garbage bag and tape to protect my wound in the shower! How is that even possible??? Of course, I did my research online in search of a better solution. I found wound and cast covers, but they all looked pretty much the same, a plastic bag with a small hole for the opening. I bought two, one with a plastic ring, the other without. But both had a tiny, tight opening to get your arm and bandage through. I tried to put on both, but it was impossible to fit my arm through this opening. I was forced to use muscles on the arm I am supposed to be resting. This caused me a great pain! I was in pain, and couldn't get either one of the covers on My arm. Also, I was worried the cover would compromise my bandage and contaminate my wound! I learned that these covers are impossible to put on without assistance, especially when you are in pain, and potentially hazardous! I had to go back to the trash bag and waterproof tape, which was a horrible experience during the healing process. This is why Ultracover was born ....
